Northen Lights competition

Well, Sandi and I just competed in our 2nd competition in almost as many weeks! This time the competition was really quite a lot of fun! There was more competition at this one, and so Sandi and I placed 5th out of 7. I'm rather happy about the results, so that's good. Now I just want to move up from that for the next comp! Thankfully, we have a lot of time. The next competition is in March.

I have reached the point where I totally love this dance competition stuff. It's great. The only time I was nervous was for about 15 minutes, a couple hours before we went up. Just before going out there, and obviously on the floor itself, I wasn't even the slightest bit nervous! I'm not sure why, it was just so much fun! So that's good. Reason enough to keep competing.

Anyway, technically Sandi and I won the newcomer competition, but it was a hollow win because the other competitors dropped out. I don't blame them; we beat them 2 weeks ago and we weren't really as gracious of winners as we really should have been. I feel a bit bad about that, actually. I'm sure they think we're just a couple punk kids or something.
