Post-Move

Well, I'm all moved in...more or less. In an impressive, totally uncharacteristic show of organization, the move went off pretty much flawlessly! If anyone has been around when I have moved, you'd know that this really isn't something that happens very often! Special thanks go out to all the people who made this move possible. Chirlene and Cinthy helped me deal with all the packing and organization that had to happen before the move. Tony, Andre, Sandi, and my parents all helped move on the Saturday. My parents helped again on Sunday, as well as Henry and Alison. Rennie, my roommate, was extraordinarily helpful - he not only helped me with all the packing but he also helped me move BOTH days! As the only person besides myself to do this, he definitely gets special mention.

Anyway, I'm all packed into my parents house for the next 3 months! Everyone would be amazed how much stuff I have in such a small room. And it all fits! My queen bed, my 2 bookcases, my desk and computer, my 27" TV, my dresser, and my nightstand. Very impressive.

Moving!

OK! I'm moving! I have stayed at my current location for a record 2 FULL years! Can you imagine? Yeah, that's the longest that I have been in one place since I moved to Calgary. But, alas, it is again time for me to move. I will actually be going and living with my parents, if you can believe it! It comes at a good time, since I obviously do not have the sort of income that I had even, say, last month. The reason, however, that I'm moving back in with my parents is due to convenience more than anything else. The lease is up on my current house at the end of July. Evelyn is coming back at the end of Sept, and then is going to be in Edmonton for a month! So that means that she won't be back in Calgary until November. So basically I have a gap of 3 months where I really don't have anywhere to live! I can't stay at my place because they want me on a year by year lease. I can't get another place because I will be living with Evelyn. She isn't back yet and I don't really want to pay for a place for both of us if there is only going to be one person living there! So I'll be with my parents until Ev gets back. Should be good!

Now, of course, the major problem is that I have to get all my STUFF out of the current house and into a storage shed for the 3 months that I'm with my parents. I'm sure that's going to be a hassle; it always is. Anyone want to help me move? Let me know! hehehe =)
